Howard M . Louik understands the hardships that the victims of medical malpractice face. He has more than 30 years’ experience in fighting for the rights of injured individuals in Pennsylvania and beyond. In 2002, he won the largest medical malpractice case verdict ever awarded in Jefferson County. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he has become one of the most successful and experienced medical malpractice lawyers in the area.
Mr. Louik has been a senior associate with Goldberg, Persky & White, since 2005, and specializes in a variety of medical malpractice cases involving surgical mistakes, nursing errors, medication mistakes, defective medical devices, failure to diagnose cancer, laparoscopic surgical errors, wrong site surgeries, and failed anesthesia. In 1972, Howard Louik earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, and proceeded to earn his Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in 1975.
Upon receiving his Juris Doctor, Mr. Louik worked as a law clerk for the Hon. John P. Flaherty Jr. until 1976 when he moved into a position as an associate attorney for Evans, Ivory & Evans in Pittsburgh. In 1981, Mr. Louik began a position as an assistant county solicitor of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, a position which he still holds today. He also ran his own law practice from 1992 until joining Goldberg, Persky & White, in 2005.

Cindy Stine’s legal career has spanned over 25 years, beginning in 1977 when she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in law enforcement and corrections. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, she worked as a paralegal and law clerk for several firms specializing in personal injury law. During this time, she spent two years working as a paralegal for Laurel Legal Services, a not-for-profit organization providing free legal services to indigent citizens. Ms. Stine received her Juris Doctor in 1994 from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she earned several academic awards.
